THE
SOLUTION IS Electronic Brake Inspection
Truck Trailer Transit Inc. has taken the guesswork out of determining
whether air brakes are in or out of adjustment. Electronic Brake
Inspection
is a state of the art, simple and highly
effective electronic brake stroke travel indicator gauge mounted on
the dashboard of the vehicle. It displays to the driver the condition
of the brakes through simple,
Green,
Yellow,
and
Red
LEDS
each time the brakes are applied.
Green:
indicates the Air Brakes are operating within the DOT specified travel
limits.
Yellow:
indicates that the Air Brakes are nearing the maximum travel limits
and have approximately 1/8th inch of travel left before
they reach the DOT maximum travel limits.
Red
indicates that the Air Brakes have reached or are exceeding the
maximum travel limits permitted by the DOT and are in VIOLATION!
No lights illuminated
indicate a fault somewhere in the foundation brake system. (See
diagnostic capabilities)
Electronic Brake Inspection WILL SAVE FLEETS THOUSANDS OF HOURS OF
SHOP TIME AS A DIAGNOSTIC AID WHEN TROUBLE SHOOTING FAULTS IN THE
FOUNDATION BRAKE SYSTEM!
Electronic Brake Inspection
WILL IDENTIFY:
worn, defective, or seized automatic and manual slack adjusters, or
slack adjusters that have not been set up correctly.
Electronic Brake Inspection
WILL IDENTIFY:
leaking diaphragms where air leaks may not be detectable, weak or
broken emergency brake springs and cracked or out of round brake
drums!
Electronic Brake Inspection
PROMOTES BALANCED BRAKING:
extending tire and tread life, reducing the potential for accidents,
jackknife situations and associated risk.
